Dear Via Apostolica Churches,

Since the announcement of Bishop Todd's leave of absence on September 5th, the leadership of The Anglican Church in North America has worked tirelessly to support us. We, the Bishop's Council, want to reiterate how thankful we are for our home in the ACNA.

Part of the work they have done on our behalf was to find a Bishop to serve the District during the leave of absence. As a result, during the week of October 3rd, 2021, Canon Andrew Gross informed the Bishop's Council, Clergy, and our Deaconesses that Bishop Quigg Lawrence had accepted the position of Interim Bishop while the investigation into allegations of misconduct against Bishop Todd takes place. We are thankful for Bishop Quigg's willingness to serve Via in this way.

You can learn more about Bishop Lawrence below.

Bishop Quigg Lawrence

Bishop Quigg Lawrence is the rector of Church of the Holy Spirit in Roanoke, Virginia, and Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope. He was consecrated in 2013 as a bishop of the Anglican Church of Rwanda and the Anglican Church of North America. Quigg's passion for missions has led him to church planting in 4 countries and establishing new Young Life areas stateside. Quigg and his wife Annette have been married since 1986. They are a powerful team as they partner in life, ministry, and feeding uninvited guests. Outside of church, you can find Quigg pursuing one of his many hobbies, including hunting, cycling, and any sport where you can hit something.

Grace and Peace,
The Bishop's Council of Via Apostolica
